About the Role
The role involves developing and managing the underlying platform infrastructure that enables product teams to deploy and scale services efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using modern cloud technologies
- Maintain system reliability, monitoring, and incident response protocols
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows
- Automate operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and human error
- Ensure platform security and compliance with organizational standards
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across distributed environments
- Optimize resource usage and cloud costs for efficiency
- Document architecture decisions and operational procedures
- Support on-call rotations for critical platform incidents
- Evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance platform capabilities
- Promote best practices in configuration management and infrastructure as code
- Work closely with security teams to enforce access controls and data protection
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, and alerting systems
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing
- Assist product teams in adopting platform services and standards
- Participate in code and design reviews for infrastructure changes
- Monitor emerging technologies relevant to platform engineering
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance across services
- Manage container orchestration and runtime environments
- Support migration of legacy systems to modern architectures
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud deployments
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects
- Certifications in cloud or systems engineering domains
- Background in financial or regulated technology environments
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies
- Knowledge of database operations and data infrastructure
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
- Familiarity with policy as code frameworks
- Track record of reducing operational toil through automation
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems
