Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance content delivery networks, domain name systems, web application firewalls, edge functions using NodeJS, and IIS-based applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Design, deploy, and sustain infrastructure using Terraform with an emphasis on scalability, consistency, and adherence to GitOps methodologies.
- Develop automated deployment pipelines using Ansible and Git to accelerate release cycles and minimize manual intervention.
- Support the transition from on-premises systems to AWS cloud-native environments, applying edge-first design principles when applicable.
- Partner with container platform teams to align workloads with Kubernetes infrastructure and ensure smooth integration with edge services.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and security specialists to incorporate WAF, CDN, and DNS updates into CI/CD workflows and delivery pipelines.
- Establish and monitor key observability metrics, logs, and distributed traces across platform components to detect issues early and improve system resilience.
- Keep abreast of advancements in cloud computing, content delivery, and edge technologies, and apply industry best practices to continuously evolve the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; a technical degree is advantageous.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with AWS services including CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, Route 53, WAF, EC2, S3, and IAM.
- Proven experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and GitOps practices.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, including workload integration capabilities.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Practical experience managing IIS-hosted applications.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, with preference for JavaScript or NodeJS.
- Solid understanding of platform reliability, networking fundamentals, DNS, CDN routing, and edge service delivery.
- Track record of deploying secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with observability practices including logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with evolving technologies and requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical challenges efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Nice to Have
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or higher certification is a benefit.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and ITIL best practices is advantageous.
