How is being a Senior Software Engineer - Android POS: This position focuses on maintenance, bug resolution, and support for partners using the team's tools like SDK and software. The development uses the Android stack and operates at a high level, requiring feature development while prioritizing mobile data economy due to POS limitations. The team faces the significant challenge of developing the POS application from scratch. Responsibilities: - App and SDK Development: Design, develop, and maintain the base (SDKs, Apps, and libraries) to be used by all applications running on our Android POS devices. - Architecture and Performance: Actively contribute to defining and evolving the platform's architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and top-performance. - Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in CI/CD processes, automated testing, and platform monitoring. - Technical Mentoring: Serve as a technical reference, guiding and supporting developers from different teams consuming the platform. - Code Quality: Ensure code excellence and standardization through code reviews and best development practices (SOLID, Clean Architecture). What we expect from you: - Solid experience in native Android development using Kotlin or Java (mandatory). - Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex SDKs, libraries, or platform modules. - Deep knowledge of software architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) and design principles (SOLID). - Familiarity with Dependency Management (Gradle) and project modularization. - Knowledge and experience with Android Background Services (WorkManager, ForegroundService, BroadcastReceiver, etc.). - Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes. - Practical knowledge of unit and integration testing. - Experience with KMP. - Knowledge of connectivity and network protocols or use of libraries like OkHttpClient, UrlConnection, Ktor. What increases your chances: - Previous experience developing solutions for payment terminals (POS) or embedded systems. - Knowledge of AI and Prompt Engineering: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (LLMs) or Prompt Engineering techniques applied to development, automation, or analysis tasks. - Experience with Observability/Analytics Tools: Ability to create and analyze dashboards in tools like Grafana, GCP, and Looker Studio for platform health monitoring and performance insights. - Knowledge of security and cryptography themes applied to Android environments. - Familiarity with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or firmware customizations. - Experience with Coroutines/Flows and Jetpack Compose.
