Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations to consistently enhance sales pipelines, safety standards, product quality, efficiency, and waste reduction across all processes.
- Manage profit and loss for designated facilities, including development and oversight of capital and operating budgets.
- Enhance employee performance through ongoing leadership, education, and training initiatives.
- Develop and sustain succession plans for key personnel positions.
- Guide department managers in advancing operational performance within their areas of responsibility.
- Direct and oversee the local sales team’s strategic planning and day-to-day activities to maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with sales representatives across all channels to retain existing clients and attract new business.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on manufacturing performance and outcomes.
- Drive team-based solutions to resolve issues related to scheduling, cost overruns, materials, or other factors impacting safety, quality, service, or productivity.
- Foster transparent communication between plant staff and corporate leadership to advance safety, quality, and output.
- Ensure adherence to regulations from OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other federal, state, and local agencies.
- Deliver regular performance updates and feedback to corporate management as needed.
- Advise on staffing decisions including hiring, terminations, promotions, transfers, training needs, and salary increases.
- Inspire and guide employees to meet departmental goals and production timelines effectively.
- Champion continuous process improvement to exceed expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Carry out additional duties and assignments as necessary for business operations.
