Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between production teams and technology departments to align project needs with technical capabilities
- Provide regular updates and reports to assigned Pipeline Supervisors
- Onboard and guide new Associate Technical Directors
- Lead production technology meetings or equivalent ceremonies for the location
- Independently manage and oversee the technical infrastructure of a production
- Supervise Associate Technical Directors when assigned to a project
- Handle daily technical operations for a show, under the oversight of a Pipeline Supervisor or Head of Department
- Operate with delegated authority based on organizational trust, while accountability remains with leadership
- Deliver technical guidance and troubleshooting support to artists
- Work with research and development teams and senior production leads to build custom Python tools and workflows
- Help evolve and refine the studio’s pipeline through continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in artist workflows
- Ensure new tool requests align with broader organizational goals

- Must have strong communication skills
- Capable of translating between technical developers and non-technical artists
- Serve as a motivating mentor and coach for junior pipeline team members
