Responsibilities
- Select and prepare diverse printed materials or related goods for shipment using various packing methods.
- Adhere to specific instructions to complete standard packing tasks and consolidate finished items into shipping containers.
- Apply labels to packages, insert documentation into binders, manage boxed goods, and verify correct shipping details are included.
- Organize, position, label, seal, and identify items in bundles, on pallets, or within containers, bins, and storage units.
- Maintain required levels of output and quality in all assigned tasks.
- Tally and categorize different product components or finished items.
- Handle in-process materials such as feeding, removing, bending, jogging, or stacking printed sheets, folded sections, or labels near equipment.
- Manually load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelves; may involve securing freight in trucks with straps, braces, or padding.
- Transport materials between storage or work zones using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment; may include operating industrial trucks or hoists.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
