About the Role
The Physician Assistant will evaluate and treat patients under the supervision of licensed physicians, assist in developing treatment plans, and provide ongoing medical management within a rehabilitation framework.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Collaborate with supervising physicians on patient care plans
- Document clinical findings in electronic health records
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Provide patient education on medical conditions and therapies
- Assist in coordinating care with therapists and specialists
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and standards
- Support acute and chronic disease management
- Participate in regular case reviews and team meetings
- Ensure continuity of care across treatment phases
- Adhere to patient safety and infection control policies
- Respond to patient concerns and clinical changes promptly
- Follow state and federal regulatory requirements
- Uphold confidentiality of patient health information
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Assist in training new clinical staff when needed
- Perform procedures within scope of practice and training
- Support patient transitions between care settings
Nice to Have
- Experience in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation
- Exposure to interdisciplinary care models
- Familiarity with workers' compensation or disability cases
- Additional training in pain management or orthopedics
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
