New York Blood Center Enterprises is hiring a Phlebotomist /Donor Collections Technician I

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and record vital signs of donors to confirm eligibility.
  • Conduct blood collection procedures following established policies and safety protocols.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and provide pre- and post-donation care as required.
  • Help set up community blood drives, including safely loading and unloading mobile units.
  • Carry out cleaning duties, including sanitizing equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy, acceptability, and completeness of documentation to avoid loss of blood units.
  • Attend and engage in staff meetings and training sessions.

Work Arrangement

On-site — Twin Cities, St. Paul

Other

  • Schedule: Variable schedule. Monday - Friday with rotating weekends. Hours between 6am - 8:30pm.
  • Location: To support area blood drives and donor centers around the Twin Cities (training at the St. Paul center).
  • Local travel required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work assignments.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Full hand use and depth perception needed.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
