CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. You will be responsible for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and contributing to positive patient experiences.
What You'll Do
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage patient health.
- Execute pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone where allowable.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed, such as putting away deliveries.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and travel to stores in the market as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as point-of-care testing, where allowable.
- Support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status and managing vaccine supplies.
- Complete required company training and satisfy all state registration and licensing requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy age, education, and licensure requirements.
- If state law does not mandate, a minimum age of 16.
- If state law does not mandate, a high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between them.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- A friendly, helpful attitude, actively looking for ways to assist people.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining day's supply.
- Skill in identifying challenging interactions and choosing the best course of action.
- Physical ability to be mobile upright for extended periods, lift, scan, reach overhead, and have close visual acuity.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs and frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.
Team & Environment
As part of the pharmacy team, you will report to the Pharmacy Manager/Supervisor.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position at our retail store locations, requiring the ability to travel to stores in the market as needed.
