CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within a retail store. You will be responsible for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and contributing to positive patient experiences.
What You'll Do
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow procedures across pharmacy workstations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Support patient health by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone.
- Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, including putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns, and waiting bin inventories.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Where permissible, support immunizations, including preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and managing supplies.
What We're Looking For
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If state board does not mandate a minimum age, you must be at least 16 years of age.
- If state board does not mandate a minimum educational requirement, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
- Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between tasks, and confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Customer service and team orientation to actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner.
- Communication skills to use and understand verbal and written communication and utilize active listening.
- Mathematical reasoning ability to use math to solve problems related to prescription filling.
- Problem resolution skills to identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical ability to meet demands including remaining upright for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, stooping, and close visual acuity.
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs.

This is an onsite position located in market-based retail stores.
