Responsibilities
- Design and implement state-of-the-art AI and machine learning models within the perception pipeline to process inputs from diverse onboard sensors
- Build software interfaces to enable autonomous operation and control of various sensor types, including electro-optical, infrared, acoustic, radar, and radio frequency systems
- Partner with sensor, tracking, and autonomy groups to ensure smooth deployment of mixed autonomous vehicle fleets during Department of Defense field tests and demonstrations
- Deploy container-based applications to embedded Linux platforms, utilizing hardware-in-the-loop validation and performance benchmarking to gather system metrics
- Engage directly with DoD stakeholders to understand operational needs, prioritize issues during live events, and enhance overall service delivery
- Collaborate internally to diagnose and assess technical challenges and define solution scope
- Maintain clear, consistent documentation and communication of project status to support team adaptability and transparency with external partners
- Lead development and execution of simulation tools to replay sensor data, platform movements, and autonomy decisions during post-test analysis
- Formulate and execute integration improvements based on insights from simulation results and feedback from customers

On-site — Sunnyvale, California, Washington, D.C., San Diego, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Ann Arbor, Michigan, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, Tokyo

- Must be willing to travel as projects require, usually for software and hardware integration or demonstrations; average frequency is every one to two months for two to five days (10–20% of time)
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
- Applicant must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and retain a U.S. security clearance
- Employees are expected to work from the company office five days per week
- Limited remote work may be permitted, such as starting remotely or leaving early for personal reasons
- Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the headquarters in Poway, California
