Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor to executives and managers on workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast talent demands and proactively manage workforce challenges
- Align HR programs with business objectives to enhance performance, engagement, and employee retention
- Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement strategies
- Ensure uniform and compliant implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Guide managers in conducting difficult conversations, delivering performance feedback, and supporting employee growth
- Work with the Senior Director, People Team on compensation design, job structures, market benchmarking, and career path development
- Support annual compensation processes, promotions, and role adjustments in line with market trends and internal fairness
- Advise leadership on job design, leveling frameworks, and organizational structure optimization
- Support performance evaluation cycles, talent assessments, succession planning, and career development programs
- Promote and guide the implementation of dual career paths (Individual Contributor and Management) to support employee advancement
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, hiring strategy, and new hire onboarding experience
- Lead, coach, and develop members of the People Team, setting priorities and providing ongoing guidance
- Ensure cohesion across People Team initiatives and consistent delivery of services
- Drive continuous enhancement of HR processes, tools, and operational capabilities
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including those relevant to federal contractors
- Collaborate with leadership on risk management, policy interpretation, and resolution of complex employee issues
- Own the design, evolution, and governance of HR policies to ensure clarity, equity, compliance, and scalability as the organization expands
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
