Work remotely to review and analyze audio recordings in South African English, ensuring high-quality data input for machine learning models that support voice-enabled technologies.
Responsibilities
- Review audio samples recorded in South African English for clarity and accuracy
- Assess speaker pronunciation, intonation, and speech patterns
- Identify and flag inappropriate or off-topic content in audio clips
- Follow detailed guidelines to rate audio quality and relevance
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and content standards
- Provide consistent and reliable feedback on speech samples
- Help train artificial intelligence systems to better understand regional accents
- Report technical or procedural issues encountered during evaluation
- Maintain high attention to detail when processing audio data
- Meet performance targets for accuracy and throughput
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in data annotation or linguistic evaluation
- Background in linguistics, language teaching, or speech analysis
- Experience working with AI or machine learning projects
- Knowledge of phonetics or speech transcription
- Familiarity with South African cultural context and idioms
Compensation
