St Patricks Church Crane Rd is looking for a PE Teacher to develop fundamental motor skills, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits in elementary students. You will plan age-appropriate, inclusive lessons and foster sportsmanship within the framework of our Catholic school mission.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement K-5 age-appropriate PE curriculum focusing on fundamental motor skills, movement, and physical literacy.
- Teach basic sports skills, agility, coordination, and team-based activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Evaluate, document, and report student progress, participation, and skill development.
- Adapt activities to accommodate students with varying abilities, needs, and backgrounds.
- Motivate students to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle.
- Infuse Catholic teachings in lessons for students and participate in ongoing catechetical formation as a teacher.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
- State-required teaching licensure/certification.
- Expertise in child development, physical education, and health education.
- Excellent communication skills to work with students, staff, and parents.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $38,000-$55,000 dependent upon experience and degree.
