Responsibilities
- Oversee payroll processing for employees across various countries
- Ensure payroll is delivered accurately and on schedule each cycle
- Collaborate with international teams to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labor laws and tax regulations
- Support compliance with statutory reporting and filings
- Coordinate year-end payroll activities and tax documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Assist in audits by providing accurate payroll records and reports
- Manage payroll data integrity and confidentiality
- Work with HR and finance teams to align payroll practices
- Support onboarding and offboarding payroll setup
- Monitor payroll system performance and escalate issues
- Lead payroll-related projects, including system upgrades
- Train team members on payroll policies and procedures
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay statements
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for payroll accounts
- Maintain documentation for payroll policies and workflows
- Evaluate third-party payroll provider performance
- Support the implementation of new payroll technologies
- Track and report on key payroll metrics and KPIs
- Handle sensitive data with confidentiality and accuracy
- Stay current with changes in employment legislation
