Funding Circle is hiring a Payments Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily payment processing through proprietary platforms, managing both incoming and outgoing transactions including Direct Debits, Open Banking, card payments, Faster Payments, and bank transfers.
• Identifying abnormal payment trends and account anomalies, implementing immediate resolutions while collaborating with technology teams to develop long-term system improvements.
• Gaining in-depth understanding of the complete payment lifecycle across multiple financial products such as Term Loans and FlexiPay, with clear procedures for handling and directing payment exceptions.
• Performing daily operational validations and approving internal and external fund movements, ensuring data consistency to avoid discrepancies between internal records and banking systems.
• Collaborating with Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime units by providing necessary transaction details for daily monitoring and enacting fraud prevention actions as directed.
• Ensuring all operational procedures adhere to regulatory requirements, particularly FCA standards and CASS (Client Money) regulations.
• Coordinating with internal departments such as Capital Markets Operations, Collections, and Customer Success to support seamless operations.
• Responding promptly and clearly to payment-related inquiries from both internal staff and external clients.
