Responsibilities

  • Design and manage reusable CI/CD pipeline templates with secure defaults, quality validation, and tools that support developer productivity.
  • Develop infrastructure pipelines to manage environment lifecycles, covering provisioning, updates, configuration drift detection, and controlled rollouts.
  • Define and enforce delivery governance through policy libraries, change management controls, exception handling, traceability, and audit readiness.
  • Integrate automated security and compliance checks into pipelines using policy-as-code and scanning tools, with ongoing improvements to detection accuracy.
  • Support large-scale, safe deployments using zero-downtime strategies, progressive delivery methods, feature flagging, and standardized rollback and validation procedures.
  • Automate integrations with change management systems like ServiceNow and CAB processes to reduce manual work while maintaining control and audit trails.
  • Manage and enhance build infrastructure, including runners, agents, and build pools, focusing on performance, stability, security updates, and cost efficiency.
  • Enforce software supply chain security through artifact provenance, digital signing, verification mechanisms, and private repository configurations.
  • Embed DevSecOps tools into delivery pipelines and help teams address issues via reporting, triage support, and automated remediation workflows.
  • Create internal automation tools, such as apps or bots, that streamline developer tasks and promote adherence to standards with minimal disruption.
  • Deliver standardized automated testing capabilities—including acceptance, performance, resiliency, chaos, and operational tests—as integrated pipeline stages and quality checkpoints.
  • Support observability adoption by providing instrumentation guidance, code-defined dashboards, and alerting setups in collaboration with development teams.
  • Collaborate with SRE and operations teams to strengthen system reliability, availability policies, incident response protocols, and on-call preparedness.
