Accor Group is hiring a Pastry Chef de Partie

Responsibilities: - Responsible for the production, preparation, and presentation of all pastry and bakery items to ensure the highest quality standards at all times. - Produce and maintain up-to-date standard recipe files for all pastry and bakery items listed on the menus, ensuring consistency and accuracy. - Execute regular inspections of physical food preparation areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations. - Demonstrate strong teamwork and outstanding leadership capabilities, mentoring junior pastry staff and fostering a collaborative kitchen environment. - Manage inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and place orders for pastry supplies and ingredients while maintaining cost efficiency. - Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure all pastry items meet established standards before service. - Collaborate with executive chefs and other kitchen departments to coordinate menu planning, special events, and seasonal offerings. - Train and supervise pastry team members on proper techniques, food safety protocols, and operational procedures. - Monitor and control food costs, minimize waste, and implement sustainable practices within the pastry section. Qualifications: - Fluent in English and the national language. - Minimum 2 years of experience in the same position within a midscale international business hotel or fine dining establishment. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment. - Formal culinary training or pastry certification from an accredited culinary institution. - Advanced technical knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, and dessert presentation methods. - Current Food Safety and Hygiene certification or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days of employment. - Demonstrated experience in inventory management, cost control, and food waste reduction. - Strong understanding of recipe development, standardization, and quality control procedures. - Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Experience training and supervising junior pastry staff and implementing standard operating procedures.
