Employment Hero is looking for a Partnerships SDR in Canada. In this role, you will build the top of the partner pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-potential referral partners for the Partnerships team. You will source prospects, conduct outbound outreach, nurture early interest, and book qualified partner discovery meetings for Partner Account Executives.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify potential referral partners across key categories like HR consultants, accounting firms, IT/MSPs, associations, and industry influencers.
- Build targeted outreach lists using CRM, LinkedIn, industry databases, and web research.
- Execute multi-touch outbound campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, SMS, and events to engage net-new partner opportunities.
- Craft tailored messaging based on partner motivation, such as revenue share or value-add for their clients.
- Qualify partner prospects through discovery conversations to understand their business model and motivations.
- Book high-quality, high-intent partner meetings for Partner Account Executives.
- Maintain and optimize a predictable pipeline of early-stage partner opportunities.
- Document conversations, qualification notes, and partner insights clearly within CRM for seamless handoff.
- Work closely with Partner AEs to refine partner ICP, vertical focus, and outreach strategy.
- Provide feedback loops to marketing and enablement on partner objections and market trends.
- Represent the company professionally across all outbound interactions.
- Attend relevant events (virtual/in-person) to source partner prospects when required.
- Generate and maintain a healthy funnel of qualified partner opportunities.
- Deliver consistent weekly/monthly volumes of qualified meetings, net-new opportunities sourced, and prospects added in CRM.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in outbound prospecting, sales development, partnerships development, recruitment, or business development.
- Strong research, lead-generation, and outbound prospecting skills.
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Ability to tailor messaging to different partner motivations and industries.
- High comfort with cold outreach and building new relationships.
- Strong organizational discipline in managing sequences, cadences, follow-ups, and CRM hygiene.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Partner AEs, marketing, product, and operations.
