The Partnerships Lead, Mexico will be responsible for architecting and launching Canva's partnership strategy in Mexico, focusing on key sectors such as telcos, fintechs, payments providers, marketplaces, and SMB networks. This role plays a central part in shaping Canva’s Truly Local strategy in Mexico, driving sustained user and revenue growth through high-impact strategic collaborations.
What You'll Do
- Architecting and launching Canva's partnership strategy in Mexico — mapping and prioritising the highest-value opportunities across telcos, fintechs, payments providers, marketplaces, and SMB networks, then going out and making them happen.
- Closing and activating strategic partnerships end-to-end — owning the deal from first conversation through commercial structuring, activation, and long-term performance, ensuring partnerships deliver sustained growth in users and revenue.
- Building joint go-to-market and lifecycle activation playbooks in close collaboration with Marketing, Product, Growth, Content, and Localization teams — creating the infrastructure that makes every partnership repeatable and scalable.
- Owning senior external relationships with key partners — navigating complex commercial negotiations, aligning on shared KPIs, and deepening trust with the ecosystem players that matter most in the Mexican market.
- Establishing the partnerships operating rhythm — commercial modelling, performance reporting, partner tracking, and the cadence that keeps the function sharp and accountable.
- Shaping Canva's Truly Local strategy in Mexico — feeding local market insights back to global teams, and helping define what it means for Canva to have deep, authentic relevance in one of its most strategic international markets.
What We're Looking For
- You have a strong track record in commercial partnerships or GTM roles — 7+ years building ecosystem relationships that delivered measurable growth, ideally within Mexico's tech, fintech, or digital economy landscape.
- You understand the Mexican business ecosystem deeply — you know the key players in telcos, fintechs, marketplaces, and SMB networks, and you know how to build trust and close deals in this market.
- You own performance, not just pipeline — you care about what happens after the contract is signed, and you build activation and optimisation loops that keep partnerships growing long after launch.
- You bring commercial rigour to every decision — you can structure complex deals, model revenue impact, and prioritise ruthlessly when the opportunity set is large and resources are finite.
- You influence without authority — you align cross-functional stakeholders, earn trust across teams, and bring the right people together to get things done at pace.
- You're fluent in English and ready to operate with a high degree of autonomy while staying deeply connected to Canva's global mission and strategy.
