Responsibilities
- Execute all types of commercial painting tasks
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting, or other methods as needed
- Mix, match, and blend paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties
- Fill holes and cracks with caulk, putty, cement, or plaster; cut and replace glass in windows and doors
- Set up and use ladders, scaffolding, and swinging stage equipment as required
- Paint buildings, structures, equipment, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or other applicators
- Prepare walls and hang wallpaper or other wall covering materials
- Determine material quantities and request supplies verbally or in writing
- Clean and store tools and equipment; clean work sites after tasks
- Oversee all daily building operations to ensure compliance with HOA policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and maintain optimal performance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC, and water circulation
- Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors
- Implement preventative maintenance programs
