William Osler Health System is hiring a Paediatric Cardiologist

Responsibilities

  • Participate in reporting and interpreting all pediatric diagnostic cardiology tests, including EKG, Holter monitoring, and echocardiography.
  • Deliver clinic-based pediatric cardiology consultations to pediatricians and family physicians within the Osler catchment area.
  • Provide urgent pediatric cardiology consultations to on-call pediatricians in the NICU and the inpatient Pediatric Unit.

Requirements

  • Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and/or American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Compensation

Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.

  • Successful applicants are expected to have an academic appointment at Toronto Metropolitan School of Medicine.
  • Successful applicants are required to participate in academic activities, which may include teaching, research, or quality improvement initiatives.
  • If the applicant does not currently hold an academic appointment with a medical school affiliated with the hospital, they must submit an application for a faculty appointment within three (3) months of their hospital appointment.
