MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Keep the workplace safe and sound • Know and follow Silgan's safety policies to protect yourself and your teammates • Catch quality issues on the line and give a heads up to the operator or coordinator ASAP • Hit pack standard rates consistently • Run the punch machine • Handle conveyor and flamer loading • Keep your work area clean - including mopping when needed • Clear out scrap around the production line • Manage plastic grinding and pulling as required • Create and unitize cartons according to assignment • Initial and date box labels • Complete unit tickets • Stay flexible and tackle any additional tasks the Supervisor throws your way LIMITATIONS AND DISCLAIMER (Non-Canada) The job description outlines the general nature and performance level of the work - it's not meant to be a 100% exhaustive list of every single responsibility, skill, and duty.
