Responsibilities
- Assists the surgeon as a scrub technician during both major and minor otolaryngological procedures
- Serves occasionally as the primary surgical assistant, providing direct support during operations
- Conducts point-of-use cleaning for used surgical instruments to ensure readiness and safety
- Manages specimen handling, including proper identification, labeling, and transport to pathology
- Verifies and adjusts the operating room setup to ensure correct placement of instruments and supplies
- Completes routine safety inspections and preventive maintenance on medical equipment and room fixtures
- Performs general and targeted cleaning tasks to maintain sanitary conditions in clinical areas
- Prepares and dispenses standard medications under physician oversight
- Supports surgical teams as a scrub technician in ear, nose, and throat procedures
Work Arrangement
On-site — Las Vegas, Nevada

- Located at Nellis Air Force Base
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday
- Weekly hours will not exceed 40
- Standard shift runs from 0730 to 1630
- Surgery days begin earlier, from 0700 to 1600
- Position is in an outpatient clinical environment
