Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable microservices with Spring Boot and Java tailored for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and OCI Resource Manager to automate provisioning and scaling of cloud resources.
- Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker and Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).
- Develop event-driven systems using OCI Streaming or Apache Kafka for real-time data processing.
- Engineer high-performance, low-latency systems leveraging OCI's regional and availability domain architecture.
- Work with development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, BitBucket, and Ansible.
- Set up proactive monitoring and logging solutions using OCI Monitoring, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Enforce data security through encryption protocols including PKI, TLS, and HTTPS for data in transit and at rest.
Requirements
- Valid Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification required.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services including compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
- Proficient in Java with Spring Boot; experienced in Python and shell scripting for automation tasks.
- Solid background in microservices design, RESTful API development, and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
- Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including OCI Autonomous Database.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with clear communication of technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Industry experience in media or financial services, especially in environments with strict security or compliance demands.
- Proven experience moving enterprise applications from on-premises or other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) to OCI.
