Responsibilities
- Operates machinery safely and meets or exceeds established benchmarks for waste reduction, product quality, operational efficiency, and equipment utilization
- Diagnoses, identifies, and resolves machine malfunctions through precise adjustments to machine components
- Develops creative approaches to resolve production challenges
- Assists and mentors less experienced staff members
- Completes required end-of-shift documentation, tracking crew hours, machine usage, and output volumes
- Identifies defective products during inspection and adjusts machinery to eliminate defect causes
- Follows all safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and documented work procedures
