Novolex is hiring an Operations, Finance Manager

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact between the Operations team and the Finance department, strengthening business partnerships and tracking key performance indicators and targets.
  • Work with plant managers and operations leaders to identify and monitor cost-saving opportunities.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights and data to business leaders for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on major cost drivers including labor, materials, overhead, and logistics.
  • Participate significantly in operations planning and financial forecasting and budgeting.
  • Support capital investment decisions and evaluate return on investment for major projects.
  • Take initiative to perform monthly analyses of direct and indirect costs, material usage variances, labor, and production mix.
  • Analyze production data and operational metrics to ensure efficiency and financial health.
  • Support digital transformation efforts by expanding the use of tools such as Power BI, OneStream, Hyperion, and SAP.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, with emphasis in finance or accounting
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and take quick action to satisfy them
  • Experience collaborating and working successfully with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated strength in handling competing priorities
  • In-depth understanding of income statement analysis
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), SAP, and HFM or Essbase
  • High initiative and self-starter attitude
  • Able to manage tight timelines and deadlines

  • An interest in utilizing AI tools such as Co-Pilot or Claude to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
