About the Role
The Senior Accountant will focus on the onboarding lifecycle of new clients, ensuring accurate setup, financial data integrity, and alignment with compliance standards. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial onboarding process for new clients
- Verify accuracy and completeness of client financial records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration
- Perform detailed account reconciliations during transition phases
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal reporting standards
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data early in the onboarding cycle
- Support the setup of accounting systems and configurations
- Review historical financial statements for consistency and correctness
- Assist in the development of onboarding checklists and workflows
- Train junior staff on onboarding procedures and best practices
- Maintain documentation for all onboarding-related activities
- Coordinate with external partners when necessary
- Monitor progress against onboarding timelines
- Escalate risks or issues to management promptly
- Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency
