ProSidian Consulting, LLC is hiring an Oil and Gas (Petroleum) Regulatory Expert / Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized technical knowledge and guidance on regulatory matters tied to energy, extractives, and renewable energy sectors, particularly concerning oil and gas operations.
  • Serve in the capacity of a regulatory consultant for oil and gas projects.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and compliance standards.
  • Educate and guide professionals across energy and extractive industries.
  • Develop and apply technical solutions to complex regulatory challenges.
  • Support the execution of regulatory strategies and compliance initiatives aligned with international, federal, state, and local laws.
  • Engage effectively with agency representatives and stakeholders to convey regulatory guidance and objectives.
  • Offer advisory services to help clients meet legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Deliver policy guidance, training, and support across all aspects of oil and gas regulation.
  • Help interpret regulations and contribute to creating, evaluating, and applying procedures that ensure regulatory compliance in project execution.
  • Support compliance functions including sampling, data collection, analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Assist in establishing policies and protocols to promote awareness and adherence to project requirements.
  • Conduct scientific research and investigations using established methods, applying regulatory standards to inform field operations.
  • Create and manage technical procedures, review documentation for correctness, and lead or advise on smaller-scale projects.
  • Design solutions for regulatory challenges and coordinate technical components to meet legal and contractual standards.
  • Lead or oversee the development of regulatory reports, agency consultations, permit applications, and approval processes.
  • Support compliance programs through project inspections, supervision of inspection teams, and submission of required compliance documentation.
  • Advise on project planning to identify regulatory requirements and support budget and schedule management.
  • Develop training materials and deliver presentations on regulatory topics for industry stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior professionals and build team capabilities.
  • Provide functional and technical support to compliance teams.
  • Review and prepare technical documents, including reports, plans, studies, and specifications.
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Offer strategic insights into regulatory systems, market dynamics, fuel sourcing, financing, technology, and operations.
  • Conduct original research and deliver training on regulatory topics relevant to the oil and gas sector.
