About the Role

You are responsible for the daily operation and experience of the office, from aesthetics and functionality to employee sentiment. You proactively resolve issues, manage vendor relationships, and improve the workplace through feedback and initiative. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the office, ensuring it functions smoothly and supports a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain high standards for how the workspace looks, operates, and feels to those who use it.
  • Address or escalate technical or logistical problems promptly and effectively.
  • Respond with care to diverse employee requests, ranging from equipment issues to workplace amenities.
  • Complete onboarding and become familiar with internal standards, vendors, and office-specific details within the first month.
  • Observe existing operations or conduct a full audit covering layout, recurring challenges, vendor performance, and employee feedback.
  • Develop strong working relationships with building management, vendors, and local team members.
  • Identify and implement three immediate improvements to enhance the office experience within the first 30 days.
  • Take full responsibility for vendor contracts and performance, including cleaning, catering, maintenance, and supplies, ensuring they meet agreed-upon standards by day 60.
  • Adapt and apply company-wide workplace standards to fit local office needs.
  • Establish a simple system for gathering employee feedback on the workplace environment.
  • Oversee the office operational budget with transparency and accurate tracking.
  • Ensure reliable and consistent office operations by day 90, earning employee trust in facility management.
  • Act as the primary contact for workplace issues, resolving them quickly or escalating with clear context.
  • Set a regular operational cadence, including weekly vendor check-ins, monthly budget reviews, and quarterly planning.
  • Anticipate and bring forward potential issues along with proposed solutions without waiting for direction.

Compensation

Competitive total compensation package including salary and equity; base salary range is $140,000 - $205,000 annually depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Pay equity and transparency are prioritized.
