About the Role
This position involves providing occupational therapy services to clients in a virtual setting, following individualized plans of care and working under the direction of a supervising occupational therapist.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions through remote platforms
- Follow treatment plans developed by supervising occupational therapists
- Monitor client progress and report outcomes to supervising therapist
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions
- Communicate effectively with clients and caregivers during virtual sessions
- Adapt therapeutic activities for home-based environments
- Support client engagement and motivation during remote interactions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Use digital tools to assess client performance and progress
- Coordinate with families and caregivers to support therapy goals
- Implement safety protocols during virtual sessions
- Provide feedback to therapists on client response to interventions
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
- Follow agency policies and procedures for remote service delivery
- Assist in modifying tasks to meet individual client needs
- Promote independence in activities of daily living
- Use telehealth platforms securely and efficiently
- Support transition planning for clients across settings
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
