About the Role
Deliver occupational therapy services in a remote setting with a focus on clients needing Spanish language support, using individualized treatment plans to enhance functional independence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual assessments of clients' daily living abilities
- Develop personalized therapy plans focused on functional outcomes
- Provide therapy sessions in both English and Spanish
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies
- Collaborate with caregivers and family members remotely
- Document client evaluations and progress notes
- Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory standards
- Use telehealth platforms to deliver care
- Support clients across various age groups with daily activities
- Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals
- Maintain confidentiality of client records
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Stay current with occupational therapy best practices
- Respond to client and family inquiries promptly
- Assist in developing educational resources for clients
- Promote client independence in self-care tasks
- Address sensory and motor skill challenges
- Implement culturally responsive therapy techniques
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in occupational therapy
- NBCOT certification
- Experience working with Spanish-speaking populations
- Specialty training in pediatrics or geriatrics
- Certification in telehealth practice
- Experience in school-based therapy settings
- Knowledge of neurodevelopmental treatment
- Training in mental health-informed care
