Responsibilities
- Evaluate a person's daily living skills in home or community environments to determine functional capacity and identify support requirements.
- Communicate with employers, case managers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to share clinical progress and coordinate rehabilitation objectives.
- Suggest assistive devices, home adaptations, or support services based on assessment outcomes.
- Source appropriate equipment and service providers, including participating in equipment testing when necessary.
- Produce accurate and timely reports detailing assessment findings, recommendations, and clinical justification.
- Teach clients and their families techniques for adapting tasks, conserving energy, and performing activities safely.
- Keep thorough and up-to-date clinical documentation while following professional, legal, and ethical guidelines.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, attend team meetings, and engage in ongoing professional learning.
