About the Role
The position involves delivering high-quality patient care through virtual consultations, managing reproductive health needs, and supporting patient education while adhering to clinical guidelines and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient assessments and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state laws
- Provide counseling on reproductive health and family planning
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Collaborate with care coordinators to support patient needs
- Ensure compliance with California medical board regulations
- Respond to patient messages within defined timeframes
- Order and interpret lab tests and diagnostic studies
- Support patient education initiatives with clinical guidance
- Participate in quality improvement activities
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Coordinate care with external providers when necessary
- Assist in developing clinical protocols and workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience in abortion care or medication management
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken in California
- Prior work in virtual care settings
- Advanced training in family planning
- Certification in sexual health or related field
