Responsibilities
- Provides hands-on medical care to on-site employees following state-specific nursing regulations and medical guidelines.
- Follows established health management policies, medical protocols, and physician orders within the licensed scope of practice.
- Evaluates the severity and type of injuries or illnesses to determine and prioritize appropriate treatments.
- Administers pre-employment drug and alcohol tests as part of health and safety compliance.
- Performs hearing assessments to monitor employee wellness and regulatory compliance.
- Delivers continuous medical treatment and follow-up care to injured or ill employees.
- Complies with federal and state regulations, including OSHA standards and workers' compensation requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee health records in accordance with HIPAA rules.
- Engages in employee education on health, safety, and injury prevention practices.
- Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with internal teams, supervisors, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators.
- Completes all assigned duties in alignment with legal, ethical, and professional care standards.
- Ensures precise and timely documentation and supports the maintenance of medical records.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in the healthcare department.
- Reports notable physical or emotional health changes in employees to the Occupational Health Manager and designated staff.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
