Responsibilities
- Provides direct medical care to on-site employees in alignment with state-specific nursing regulations and medical guidelines.
- Follows established health management protocols, medical directives, and physician orders within defined scope of practice.
- Evaluates the severity and type of injury or illness to determine appropriate and prioritized medical interventions.
- Administers pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Performs hearing assessments to monitor employee auditory health.
- Delivers continuous medical treatment and follow-up care to injured or ill employees.
- Complies with federal and state regulations, including OSHA standards and workers' compensation requirements.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee health records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engages in employee education on health and safety practices.
- Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with internal teams, supervisors, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators.
- Executes all responsibilities in alignment with legal, ethical, and professional standards of care.
- Ensures precise and timely documentation and supports medical record maintenance.
- Keeps the healthcare department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Reports notable physical or emotional health changes in employees to the Occupational Health Manager or designated personnel.
- Completes additional assigned duties as needed.
