Responsibilities
- Oversee global category purchasing from start to finish, including supplier identification, contract discussions, and finalizing agreements
- Plan, carry out, and conclude international negotiations with an emphasis on enhancing value (e.g. TCO)
- Promote cost reduction, bundling opportunities, make-or-buy choices, and value engineering efforts
- Monitor supplier performance, handle claims, and address escalations that are strategically important
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle and ensure adherence to internal policies and guidelines
- Convert category strategies into clear actions, key performance indicators, and measurable outcomes
- Provide guidance and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and satisfaction
- Utilize data analytics and digital procurement tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes
- Lead or participate in cross-functional and global purchasing initiatives
