What You'll Do
Provide independent oversight and strategic direction to support the executive team, focusing on sustainable growth and sound decision-making. Contribute to high-level policymaking and long-term planning while maintaining a clear separation from daily operations.
Evaluate business performance, assess risk frameworks, and challenge existing processes to ensure continuous improvement. Act as a trusted advisor by offering constructive scrutiny and informed perspectives on key initiatives.
Engage with investors and shareholders to communicate strategic goals and address concerns. Support transparency by upholding rigorous standards of governance, ethics, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
Identify and disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and refrain from participation in related decisions. Play an active role in senior leadership appointments, performance reviews, and remuneration planning for executive directors.
Requirements
Demonstrate substantial experience in the re/insurance sector or closely related fields, with a proven ability to contribute at board level. Bring established relationships and credibility within the global insurance marketplace.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a diplomatic approach to governance and decision-making. Show a commitment to personal development and ongoing professional education.
Exhibit leadership qualities that foster integrity, sound judgment, and effective mentorship. Bring a track record of promoting ethical practices and corporate responsibility.
