ActioNet, Inc. is hiring a Network Operations Engineer (Tier II)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and resolves issues across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband networks in response to faults, errors, and incidents.
  • Performs physical and technical support for all network hardware components.
  • Monitors network assets in alignment with defined service level agreements.
  • Executes repair, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance tasks on network infrastructure.
  • Analyzes data from network dashboards, investigates issues, resolves escalated incidents, and reports operational status.
  • Provides expert-level support for LAN, WAN, firewall, and related network technologies, diagnosing outages to restore service rapidly.
  • Conducts root cause analysis for infrastructure issues and recommends corrective actions; supports remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Applies foundational knowledge of networking principles and adapts to new technologies; understands routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
  • Configures and manages network devices using Cisco command line interface.
  • Resolves complex network problems from identification to resolution.
  • Evaluates and implements change requests following established change control procedures.
  • Delivers Tier 2 technical support including site assessments, network configuration, engineering design, installation planning, and documentation.
  • Works extensively with wireless networks, virtual private networks, intrusion prevention systems, WAN optimization tools, and related technologies.
