Responsibilities
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers spread across various geographic regions.
- Define team objectives, performance targets, and career growth plans.
- Promote a culture of responsibility, teamwork, ongoing improvement, and exceptional customer support.
- Handle staffing, resource distribution, task prioritization, and future leadership planning.
- Carry out performance evaluations, coaching meetings, and career advancement conversations.
- Manage daily operations of the worldwide network infrastructure supporting data centers, cloud platforms, and office sites.
- Guarantee network uptime, performance, expandability, and protection through active monitoring and operational efficiency.
- Direct infrastructure lifecycle management, including hardware updates, software upgrades, and architectural improvements.
- Oversee incident handling, root cause determination, problem resolution, and service recovery tasks.
- Set operational standards, documentation practices, and recommended procedures.
- Lead the creation and deployment of corporate networking solutions using Cisco routing and switching equipment.
- Manage WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, internet, and hybrid connectivity projects for global locations.
- Supervise office networking, including LAN, wireless, and remote access systems.
- Build and sustain highly available and resilient network designs.
- Oversee perimeter and internal network security tools, including Fortinet firewalls and related security systems.
- Work with Security Operations and Enterprise Security teams to implement network segmentation, zero-trust efforts, and security measures.
- Ensure adherence to corporate security policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead vulnerability fixing efforts related to network infrastructure.
- Support and direct cloud networking projects in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
- Design and maintain hybrid networking solutions such as Azure ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Direct Connect, and Site-to-Site VPN.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure secure and dependable cloud connections.
- Manage network infrastructure for global data centers and colocation facilities.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery connectivity between data centers and cloud environments.
- Lead data center migration, expansion, and modernization projects.
- Support production workloads and critical business applications through resilient network architecture.
