About the Role
Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade network systems, providing technical leadership and ensuring alignment with security policies and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures to support organizational needs.
- Oversee configuration and management of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure network performance meets service level agreements and operational benchmarks.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues across multiple locations.
- Implement and maintain secure network protocols and encryption standards.
- Support compliance with federal cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce network access controls.
- Manage network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve outages.
- Document network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
- Lead capacity planning to anticipate future bandwidth and connectivity demands.
- Coordinate with vendors and third parties for equipment support and integration.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into existing infrastructure.
- Ensure redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities are in place.
- Maintain accurate network topology maps and system documentation.
- Support cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments.
- Enforce change management processes for network modifications.
- Conduct regular network audits and performance assessments.
- Assist in the development of security policies related to network access.

- Support IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes as needed.
