About the Role

Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade network systems, providing technical leadership and ensuring alignment with security policies and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable network architectures to support organizational needs.
  • Oversee configuration and management of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure network performance meets service level agreements and operational benchmarks.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues across multiple locations.
  • Implement and maintain secure network protocols and encryption standards.
  • Support compliance with federal cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce network access controls.
  • Manage network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve outages.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
  • Lead capacity planning to anticipate future bandwidth and connectivity demands.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third parties for equipment support and integration.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into existing infrastructure.
  • Ensure redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities are in place.
  • Maintain accurate network topology maps and system documentation.
  • Support cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments.
  • Enforce change management processes for network modifications.
  • Conduct regular network audits and performance assessments.
  • Assist in the development of security policies related to network access.
  • Train staff on network best practices and incident response procedures.
  • Respond to urgent network incidents with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality of service policies.
  • Integrate network infrastructure with identity and access management systems.
  • Support IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes as needed.
  • Promote energy efficiency and cost-effective network solutions.

Security Requirements
