Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support, configuration, and upkeep of WAN systems in medium to large-scale enterprise networks.
- Diagnose and resolve wide area network issues, conduct root cause investigations, and record resolution methods.
- Deploy and fine-tune MPLS, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols within intricate enterprise network designs.
- Partner with network design specialists and multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement WAN modifications.
- Manage virtual private network solutions, including site-to-site, IPSec, and SSL-VPN, to enable secure office-to-office communication.
- Configure and monitor firewall rules and security tools to uphold network protection standards.
- Keep comprehensive records of network layouts, diagrams, and configuration changes.
- Engage in formal change control procedures and scheduled on-call support rotations.
