Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network architectures.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity problems.
- Maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network hardware.
- Implement and manage secure network access controls.
- Support hybrid cloud environments and site-to-site connections.
- Diagnose and fix hardware and software-related network issues.
- Ensure network availability and reliability across locations.
- Configure and manage VLANs and IP addressing schemes.
- Perform regular network upgrades and firmware updates.
- Collaborate with IT teams to align network strategy with business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and configuration.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring tools such as Wireshark or PRTG.
- Understanding of LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and threat mitigation.
- Ability to document network configurations and changes.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Effective communication abilities for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud networking platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with automation tools for network management.
- Background in supporting hybrid or remote work environments.
