About the Role
This role involves conducting non-destructive testing using various methods to ensure structural and material compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic testing to assess material thickness and detect internal flaws
- Conduct magnetic particle inspections to identify surface and near-surface discontinuities
- Carry out liquid penetrant testing on non-porous materials
- Interpret test results in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation
- Operate and maintain NDT equipment and calibration tools
- Follow safety protocols during field and lab testing
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to resolve findings
- Support quality assurance processes on construction and maintenance projects
- Travel to project sites as required
- Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Participate in audits and quality reviews
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment use
- Adhere to project schedules and reporting deadlines
- Assist in training junior technicians when needed
Nice to Have
- Certification in additional NDT methods such as RT or VT
- Experience with bridge or transportation projects
- Working knowledge of NDT software or digital reporting tools
- Prior work with DOT or public sector clients
