DLR Group is hiring a National Mission Critical Client Leader

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients in the mission-critical sector, including large-scale data operators, colocation firms, and government agencies responsible for critical operations
  • Act as a strategic advisor by gaining in-depth knowledge of client missions, technical specifications, risk tolerances, and operational objectives
  • Lead business development efforts, from initial qualification submissions to proposal delivery, interviews, and ongoing relationship initiatives
  • Guide projects from initial planning through to post-occupancy phases, ensuring adherence to quality, timeline, and financial targets
  • Work with Project Managers to define team structures, estimate fees, allocate resources, and manage project scope
  • Oversee financial operations including billing, collections, and performance tracking across multiple client engagements
  • Manage contract discussions, modifications, and change orders with an emphasis on transparency, clarity, and mutual value
  • Coordinate with design leads, engineers, and technical experts to align client goals with high-performance design solutions
  • Enable effective decision-making and communication across internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between technical disciplines, suppliers, and specialized consultants specific to mission-critical projects
  • Represent the firm in industry groups, leadership forums, and client-facing events to strengthen market presence
  • Track advancements in energy efficiency, resilience, sustainability, cybersecurity, and technology to enhance client offerings
  • Strengthen the firm’s reputation as a leader in mission-critical design through relationship-building, advocacy, and market insights
  • Promote a team-oriented, accountable culture centered on exceptional client service and technical precision
  • Coach team members in client interaction, proposal development, and project leadership capabilities
  • Support the growth of the firm’s integrated design approach and employee-owned culture
