MS Canada is looking for an MS Knowledge Network Navigator to serve as the first point of contact, providing critical front-line support to Canadians affected by multiple sclerosis. This bilingual-preferred role guides individuals to appropriate resources, programs, and services via phone, email, and live chat, supporting our bold vision of a world free of MS.
What You'll Do
- Continuously maintain current and accurate knowledge about the organization to respond effectively to inquiries.
- Guide individuals affected by MS to a broad variety of resources, such as current programs, supports, and services.
- Proactively and continuously collect and disseminate information and resources on MS knowledge.
- Assess and document MS community members' needs and concerns and help guide them with issues they encounter.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge and experience working with persons affected by MS or individuals with other chronic illnesses or disability.
- Demonstrates exceptional skills of active listening, effective knowledge transfer, and empathetic communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of the social service sector and health, government and community services.
- Exhibits excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, assessment skills and experience managing distress/crisis situations.
- High level of computer skills, keyboarding, advanced internet searching and operating within a database.
- Able to multi-task and move between multiple applications while supporting individuals in real time.
- Willingness and capacity to engage in, and apply, continuous learning related to multiple sclerosis and its management, as well as the rapidly changing health and social services landscape.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team while working remotely.
- Displays strengths in research and scientific literacy.
- Employs effective knowledge translation strategies to synthesize and communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

- Fluent in French (written and verbal) for business operations across Canada.
