Responsibilities
- Operate across the full Linux system, including kernel, networking, storage, and application layers
- Design and implement cloud platforms using technologies such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, and Spark
- Deploy infrastructure solutions in on-premises data centers or public cloud environments
- Gather business needs from clients and provide guidance on Ubuntu and related open source tools
- Foster a positive, team-oriented engineering environment aligned with organizational values
- Present Ubuntu Pro and artificial intelligence/machine learning features to existing and potential customers
- Communicate customer requirements to product teams to help shape future development
- Collaborate closely with sales colleagues to achieve shared business goals
- Travel internationally up to 30% of the time for customer engagements, conferences, and team events
