Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives by enforcing established safety standards, procedures, and systems.
- Maintain and repair machinery and equipment to support efficient mine operations and meet production goals.
- Follow preventive and predictive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to the planning of weekly and yearly maintenance activities.
- Carry out preventive maintenance in a way that controls costs without sacrificing reliability.
- Diagnose and fix equipment issues as they arise.
- Respond immediately to equipment failures and breakdowns.
- Help improve preventive maintenance systems, spare parts planning, maintenance methods, and infrastructure needs.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining accountability and fostering strong team dynamics.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Take part regularly in safety discussions during team toolbox meetings.
- Ensure job safety analyses, standard operating procedures, safe work practices, and Take 5 safety checks are completed and understood to identify potential hazards.
