About the Role
The role involves managing cloud infrastructure, optimizing deployment processes, and ensuring system performance and security through automation and monitoring tools on the Azure platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain cloud environments hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Design and implement infrastructure as code using Azure Resource Manager or Bicep
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and configure applications
- Ensure high availability and scalability of cloud services
- Implement and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service
- Enforce security best practices across cloud infrastructure
- Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency
- Support incident response and root cause analysis
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Integrate monitoring and alerting tools for proactive issue detection
- Perform regular system updates and patch management
- Optimize cloud resource usage to control costs
- Work with identity and access management policies in Azure
- Support compliance with internal and external security standards
- Participate in on-call rotations for production support
- Collaborate with architects to design resilient cloud solutions
- Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve DevOps practices
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in deployment workflows
- Assist in migration of legacy systems to cloud-native platforms
- Integrate logging and telemetry systems for operational visibility
- Support testing environments with automated provisioning
- Contribute to post-mortem reviews after production incidents
