Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, adjust, and validate operating systems, software applications, and system administration tools
- Continuously observe system performance, detect performance constraints, and apply fixes to maintain consistent system availability
- Establish and manage strong security protocols, data backup methods, and recovery procedures for system failures
- Build custom automation scripts to streamline operations and increase system effectiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical problems involving hardware, software, and networking elements
- Collaborate with development teams, leadership, and internal departments to define needs and implement technical solutions
- Produce and update comprehensive documentation covering system design, operational processes, and support guidelines
- Evaluate new and evolving technologies to determine suitability for system enhancements or new deployments

On-site — McLean, VA, Tysons, VA, and various field offices across Northern Virginia

- Must possess TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, which is acceptable to the customer
- Work schedule is highly flexible — focus is on results rather than strict hours
- Work is conducted in McLean, VA and multiple field locations throughout Northern Virginia; remote work is not permitted
- Required to be available on-call at all times, including nights, weekends, and holidays
